NRI Marc Justine Landrio Chandramohan Convicted in Singapore for
Filming and Blackmailing 16-Year-Old Girl

NRI Marc Justine Landrio Chandramohan, a 27-year-old Singaporean citizen of Indian heritage, has been sentenced to more than three years in jail along with three strokes of the cane. The punishment follows his conviction for sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl, filming the act, and attempting to extort money from her, according to a report by CNA.

His prison term will officially begin on Friday, June 6. The court permitted him a brief period to organize his financial matters before he begins serving the sentence.

Investigations revealed that Chandramohan was involved in a "sugar daddy" arrangement with the teenager. When she chose to end the relationship, he pressured her to continue, secretly recorded explicit footage, and later tried to use the recordings to demand money from her.

NRI Chandramohan admitted guilt to seven charges, including arranging paid sexual activity with a minor, spreading obscene media, extortion, deceit, making pornographic films, and helping another person access a computer system without proper authorization.

Additionally, the judge considered nine other charges — most of them related to the production of obscene videos. Evidence presented in court showed that he had also filmed sexual encounters with two other individuals besides the teen victim.

Principal District Judge Victor Yeo Khee Eng stated during sentencing that the accused had taken advantage of a naive and underage girl. The court also noted the emotional toll on the victim, who said the incident severely strained her relationship with her family.
