The NRI model from South Africa, who was allegedly kidnapped on Wednesday from a Mumbai pub and raped, is planning to sue a property dealer who reportedly passed on her photo to media organisations.

“He has illegally given it from the house agreement papers and we are planning to sue,” said a source close to the victim, Reshma Khan (name changed). Khan’s lawyer Falguni Brahma-bhatt met Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order) Arup Patnaik on Sunday and asked him to speed up the investigation.

The rape suspects, Sunil Morpani and Suresh Krishnan, have denied drugging the model though they have admitted to raping her, according to police.

“They said she was drunk and came with them,” a senior officer who interrogated them told DNA.

Additional Commissioner of Police Parambir Singh said police have so far not found evidence of pornographic pictures of Khan taken by the accused. “One guy did have some pornographic clippings in his mobile, but they are not related to the victim,” he said.

Police are questioning employees of Raj Mahal hotel at Kalyan where Khan was taken. They may also interrogate GS Bawa, owner of Bawa International hotel. Bawa’s son Karan said neither his father nor anyone else from the hotel was involved.

Brahmabhatt clarified that Bawa had not introduced Khan to the accused. “Reshma had earlier met Bawa at the JW Marriot,” she said. “On the night of the incident Bawa had called her for dinner, from where she went to Avalon.”

The police are still to conduct an identification parade of the suspects.Meanwhile, the housing society at Oshiwara where Khan was staying as a paying guest has no complaints against her.

“I had interviewed her three months ago,” the society’s secretary told DNA. “She told me she wanted to be a Bollywood actress and had enrolled in an acting class. She is a decent girl and never created any nuisance on the premises.”

The victim, staying at Lokhandwala complex in Andheri, went to Bawa International Hotel near the domestic airport on December 29 and after having dinner, visited the pub 'Avalon' in the same hotel, according to the complaint filed by victim's lawyer.

She met the two men in the pub, who befriended her. Then the duo allegedly mixed drugs in her drink, when she had gone to toilet. After a while she felt dizzy and they offered to take her home.
