NRI Woman Raped in Suspected Race Crime in UK; Suspect Arrested After Manhunt

NRI woman, 20, was allegedly raped in a racially motivated attack in Walsall, United Kingdom, over the weekend. The West Midlands Police confirmed on Monday that a 32-year-old man had been arrested following an overnight manhunt in connection with the assault.
According to police reports, the assault took place on Saturday night in the Park Hall area of Walsall. The suspect was apprehended early Monday morning in Perry Barr, and authorities believe the attack was racially aggravated.
“The victim has suffered an absolutely appalling attack,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson. “She is now being supported by specially trained officers as the investigation continues.”
The police had earlier released CCTV footage of the suspect to the public as part of their appeal for information, urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward. The footage played a key role in identifying and locating the accused.
Reports from the Daily Mail and The Sun indicated that the survivor, who is of Punjabi origin, was subjected to racial slurs during the assault, with the attacker allegedly using derogatory language.
