Verushka Singh, Mrs South Africa titleholder Reigning, has officially stepped down, citing personal and family priorities. In a statement shared on the organisation’s Facebook page, organisers confirmed that Singh made the decision to focus on her wellbeing and family commitments, adding that her choice is fully respected.
Singh, who made history as the first Indian Mrs South Africa, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating that the decision was entirely her own and taken with her family’s needs at heart. She said she steps away with appreciation for the platform and its values.
CEO Joani Jacobs praised Singh for carrying the title with dedication and professionalism, affirming the organisation’s support for her decision.
First Princess Carika Bebb will assume the duties and responsibilities of Mrs South Africa 2026 with immediate effect.
