NRI Vikraman Harvey Chettier Sentenced to Jail for Harassing and Threatening Former President

NRI Vickreman Harvey Chettier, has been sentenced to 10 months and 12 weeks in jail after pleading guilty to harassment charges and fabricating false evidence.
Chettier had posted an Instagram story on April 30, 2023, stating that then-President Halimah Yacob "deserves to be dragged out" and killed, allegedly in response to Singapore’s strict drug trafficking laws. He later threatened to stab a judge handling his case.
Despite his claims of mental illness, medical evaluations found them unsubstantiated. While out on bail, Chettier continued making threats, leading to his arrest on April 5, 2024. His sentencing also considered 14 other harassment-related charges.
