5 Indians Arrested and Charged in Connection with the Murder of
Kuldeep Kumar in New Jersey, US

Authorities in the US state of New Jersey have arrested five Indian-origin men in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Kuldeep Kumar, whose body was found in Manchester Township.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that Sandeep Kumar (34), a resident of South Ozone Park, New York, was the final suspect arrested on January 3. He has been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder related to Kuldeep Kumar's death on October 22.

The other four suspects, identified as Sourav Kumar (23), Guarav Singh (27), Nirmal Singh (30), and Gurdeep Singh (22), were arrested on December 20, 2024, in Greenwood, Indiana.

Their arrests were carried out by a joint operation involving the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, New Jersey State Police, FBI, and Greenwood Police Department. They are currently being held at Johnson County Jail in Indiana, pending extradition to New Jersey.

Investigations have revealed that Sandeep Kumar worked with the other suspects to orchestrate and execute the murder of Kuldeep Kumar.

Sandeep Kumar is currently detained at the Ocean County Jail in New Jersey.
