In a shocking turn of events, the lifeless body of Buckley resident and mother, Chaithanya 'Swetha' Madhagani, was discovered in a wheelie bin, approximately 37km west of Geelong.  just days after her husband, Ashok Raj Varikuppala, reportedly flew overseas with their son..The Herald Sun, citing sources involved in the investigation, revealed that Mr. Varikuppala had flown to India, leaving authorities to discover his wife's body in a locked wheelie bin off Mount Pollock Road in Buckley, southwest of Melbourne in the Surf Coast Shire.

The husband, now in India, allegedly contacted Victorian relatives to provide information about Ms. Madhagani's death. Family members are said to be urging his return to Australia, and despite Mr. Varikuppala's reported willingness to cooperate with investigators, no arrests have been made at this stage.

Authorities believe that Ms. Madhagani knew her killer, and while there is no immediate threat to the community, the alleged offender is suspected to have fled overseas. The police have been actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

Two crime scenes have been established, one at Mount Pollock Rd and a second at a residential address in Mirka Way in Point Cook, southwestern Melbourne, where Ms. Madhagani lived with her husband and son. approximately 82km apart. The police have confirmed that the investigation at the second scene is linked to the deceased woman.
Tributes for the young mother have poured in, describing her as "full of life" and expressing disbelief at the tragic loss.

Residents in the small regional community of Buckley, including those in the vicinity of the crime scene, have been left stunned by the harrowing discovery. As the investigation unfolds, questions remain about the motive and circumstances surrounding this devastating incident that has shaken the tight-knit community.
