NRI's purse containing

restaurant

: A UK-based NRI on Monday had the worst
experience of her life during a visit to the city,
when a thief reportedly stole her purse containing
Rs 1 lakh cash, a camera and jewellery worth Rs 50,000
at a restaurant in Sector 17.
Police said Shukla Gupta, who had come
to see her relatives in Punjab, was having a lunch
at the restaurant along with her family members. After
finishing her meal, Gupta realised that her purse
was missing.
A search of the restaurant did not help,
as the purse could not be recovered. A complaint was
lodged with the Sector 17 police, who have registered
a case.
