On the bases of Mohanasundaram's complaint to City
Crime Branch police, Rex was arrested on charges of
cheating with false promises of employment in China
with execellent salaries. Trivedi advertised in newspapers
stating that he would get jobs in top educational
institutions in China. Mohanasundaram furnished his
original certificates and passport in December 2005.
When Trivedi did not get him a job as promised, Mohanasundaram
lodged a complaint with police. He also alleged that
Trivetdi demanded Rs 20,000 for returning his certificates
