Two Indian students studying at Cleveland State University lost their lives in a tragic car accident on Saturday morning in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Brecknock Township, when their vehicle veered off the road, struck a tree, and then collided with a bridge.

The deceased have been identified as Manav Patel, 20, and Saurav Prabhakar, 23. According to authorities, Prabhakar was behind the wheel at the time of the crash. Both young men were pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries, as confirmed by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office and Pennsylvania State Police.

A third individual, who was seated in the front passenger seat, survived the crash with injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity and condition of the injured passenger have not yet been released.

The Consulate General of India in New York expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss. In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Consulate stated:

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether speed, weather conditions, or any other factors contributed to the accident.
