Prashant Sreekumar, NRI Accountant, Dies After 8-Hour Hospital Wait

Prashant Sreekumar, 44, accountant, died after reportedly waiting more than eight hours for medical treatment at a hospital, raising serious concerns about emergency care procedures.

Prashant experienced severe chest pain while at work on December 22 and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Upon arrival, he was registered at the triage desk and later asked to wait in the emergency room. Hospital staff conducted an electrocardiogram (ECG) and administered Tylenol for pain relief while monitoring his blood pressure intermittently.

Despite his condition, Prashant remained in the waiting area for several hours. Witnesses said he appeared visibly uncomfortable and in distress during the long wait. After more than eight hours, when he was finally called into the treatment area, he reportedly collapsed and died within seconds, with doctors suspecting cardiac arrest as the cause.

Family members have demanded a thorough investigation, seeking answers about whether timely medical intervention could have saved his life.
