NRI engineer found dead in a river at Yosemite National Park, California

On May 19, NRI Kiran Yellajyosula, 27, was hiking at the park with three friends when he fell above Vernal Falls river. The officials said his body was seen between two large rocks several hundred feet below the bridge. He lost his balance and slipped into river which had fast moving current.

Over the weekend, the River waters were too high and dangerous for divers to look the drowned body. On Thursday, the police have identified the body as that of Kiran Yellajyosula.

Kiran grew up in Vizag, India. In 2001, he got a degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

In 2003, he received a masters degree in computer science from West Virginia University. He worked as a computer graphics for Nvidia in Santa Clara and part time, he was pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science at the University of Minnesota

His parents and sister are living in India and one his cousin said, " He had very big dreams, really wanted to do something big in life and to start his own business."
