issue ‘Goa Card’ to NRIs for faster access & attention
of their grievances

GOA CARD
The office of Commissioner for NRI Affairs has decided to issue
“GOA CARD” to NRIs / OCI / PIO of Goan origin, to
facilitate holders of such cards to have easy access to Government
Departments / offices for redressal of issues concerning them.
The Goa Card holders would also be entitled to certain concessions
from Government Corporations, Private Hotels, Hospitals- offered
discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 40 per cent.
Mr Edurado Faleiro, The Commissioner for NRI Affairs said that
to ensure that Goan NRIs/PIOs were given faster access and attention
by the government departments as and when they approached them
during their short stay in Goa, the office of the Commissioner
for NRI Affairs decided to issue them ‘Goa Card.’
The Chief Secretary, Mr J P Singh distributed the 26 cards to
the NRIs/PIOs, which include 15 from Kuwait, 5 from United Kingdom,
4 from Canada, and one each from Bahrain and Australia.
The fees charged for issue of “Goa Card” will be
Rs.250/- which can be paid in Cash or Demand Draft drawn in favou
of ‘Overseas Employment Agency of Goa’ payable at
Panaji.
