Deccan Mujahideen threat to disrupt the annual Pravasi Bharatiya

The Indian Mujahideen has sent a email to disrupt the 3-day 'Pravasi
Bharatiya Divas' (PBD) convention, from January 7 to 9, 2009, which
is organised jointly by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs
and the CII to host more than 1,500 NRIs and PIOs. This two line
email was received by the Confederation of Indian Industries' mail
server.
Director General of Police K P Jain of Tamil Nadu said, 'The adequate
security measures were being made to ensure that the event goes
off smoothly. He also visited the Chennai Trade Centre and inspected
the security arrangements for the event."
NRI Service official at the MOIA said, "The mail has been
forwarded to the Home ministry authorities, who stated that their
cyber experts would attempt to trace the sender of the threat mail."
The other media source said that this email is came from Middle
East (Saudi Arabia).
The convention will be inaugurated by Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister
on January 8 and Prathiba Patil, President of India would deliver
the speech on Jan 09
