NRIPress had the pleasure to cover the Punjabi Cultural Show
held at Knotts Berry Farm in Los Angeles California on Sunday
April 20th, 2008. The show was sponsored by BOB Virk of One Stop
EPP Inc. from Bakerfield, along with other local Los Angeles Businessman
Kamaljit Singh Sandhu.
Punjabi songs were sung by Lehmber Hussainpuri, Inderjeet Nikku,
Deepak Dhillon, Parveen Bharta, Gurmeet Maan-Miss Payal throughout
the night. There were colorful lights flashing, audience members
danced and enjoyed the melodious voices of the Punjabi singers.
The after party was held at Golden Nights Restaurant in Buena
Park California.
Lehmber Hussainpuri is a popular
bhangra singer in India, UK, USA, and Canada. His first
bhangra scene 'Sohni Lagdi' became popular and then moved onto
a collaboration with Dr. Zeus on the album entitled Unda The Influence.
This album was a success with modern bhangra- such hits:
- Biggest Hits: Sachiyan Suniyan Ni, Das Ja
- Ah Ni Kuriye, Mele Vich Jatt and Tin Cheeja.
- Gabroo Shokeen, Yaar, Daru and a notable appearance on the
world-wide smash-hit DesiRock by Swami.
- The Best of Lehmber Hussainpuri was also released in 2005
