The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced the takedown of Canada’s largest and most sophisticated illegal drug “super lab,” confiscating a record-breaking collection of firearms, synthetic drugs, and precursor chemicals. Investigators believe the site was operated by organized crime groups involved in the large-scale production and distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine across Canada and beyond.

The raid, conducted last week, targeted the lab in Falkland, British Columbia, along with associated properties in Surrey, near Vancouver. Images released by the RCMP show officers in hazmat suits gathering evidence from the site.

Police seized 54 kilograms of fentanyl, 390 kilograms of methamphetamine, substantial amounts of precursor chemicals, and smaller quantities of cocaine, MDMA, and cannabis. Additionally, 89 firearms, including loaded handguns, AR-15-style rifles, and submachine guns, were recovered, along with explosive devices, high-capacity magazines, body armor, and CA$500,000 in cash.

Suspect Gaganpreet Randhawa, NRI has been arrested and faces multiple charges related to drugs and firearms. Officer Jillian Wellard of the RCMP’s Pacific Region commended the operation, calling it a significant strike against transnational organized crime and a step toward protecting both Canadian and global communities.

Fentanyl remains a primary driver of Canada’s overdose crisis, having claimed nearly 48,000 lives since 2016.

The operation follows a recent crackdown on another international crime network connected to a Mexican cartel, involved in moving meth and cocaine from Central and South America to Canada and beyond. That organization, implicated in money laundering and organized assassinations, is led by Ryan Wedding, who remains wanted by authorities in both Canada and the U.S.
