IALA celebrated India’s Republic Day on February 1st 
The celebration attended by more than 300 people from all walks of life.

 San Fernando Valley, CA - India Association of Los Angeles (IALA) celebrated India’s Republic Day on February 1st at Royal Delhi Palace, Canoga Park with great enthusiasm and pride. The celebration attended by more than 300 people from all walks of life. 
The show started with pledge of allegiance, followed by American National Anthem and Indian National Anthem.  Chairman Sunil Agrawal, and President Ouseph Poulose welcomed audience and invited guests in their opening speeches.


Various dignitaries graced the occasion and enjoyed the cultural program. Council member District 12 - John Lee,  District Director of Congressman Sherman - Scott Abrams, Field Representative of Assemblyman Jesse Gabriel - Nikki Perez and Scott Schmerelson, LAUSD Board Member, District 3 were the guests of the honor of the program. Officials of State Bank of India were also present. Guests were welcomed and honored by the President Ouseph Poulose, Chairman Sunil Agrawal, Secretary Pramesh Shah and Vice President Kankasinh Zala. All the invited dignitaries addressed the audience and thanked IALA for the invitation. They appreciated IALA's community work wholeheartedly. 

   


Councilman John Lee thanked community for their support. Scott Abrams brought Congressional appreciation certificate and US flag from Congressman Sherman's office and presented to the President & Chairman. 
President Poulous introduced IALA's executive committee, and  thanked all the Sponsors and Volunteers who helped the association in putting up the event together. IALA provides a platform to the artists to showcase their talent. VP-Cultural Manjeet Wahi,  put up a magnificent cultural show. The cultural program started  with remembering Inder Singh, founder of IALA  and his wife Deepi Singh who passed away recently. 

Bollywood dance group Goongaroo  presented Bollywood dance in style. Mexican Artists also performed traditional Mexican dance. Hindi songs on karaoke  tracks  were sung by Surendra Sharma and Mrs Bharat USA Priya Kumar. People danced and enjoyed on their melodious songs. All the performances were  thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

   


Raffles were organized in very interactive and in fun-filled way by Raman Chadha, Vandna Kumar, Hezal Shah, and Falguniba zala. They distributed more than dozen raffle prizes. Event ended with open dance floor and attendees gyrating to Bollywood Dance Numbers DJ'ed by DJ Rai, the best DJ in LA. Event was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and they appreciated the organizers for creating such a unique and memorable events year after year.
