It was a pleaseure to welcome a special guest from New Zealand, my nephew Lali Ranbir Singh  (Sanghera)  on Thursday, October30. He was accompanied by my cousin Dr. Gurnam Singh Sanghera and nephew Tej Pal Singh Sanghera. All of them paid their obeisance at India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas, 8600 # 5 Road, Richmond. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Avtar Singh Saddhar, Mr. Gurcharan Singh Grewal , Mr. Chain Singh Batth and myself. Mr. Saddhar's younger son Vijaypal Singh is well sttled in Australia. As people in Australia and New Zealand are very close to each other it did not take long for Lali Ranbir Singh and Saddahr Sahib to connect with each other and share some some common experiences with each other. Like many western countries, Punjabis   have also  made huge strides in Australia and New Zealand . They have made the Punjabi community proud of themselves. Like many aother Punjabis in New Zealand, Lali Ranbir Singh has distinguished himself with hard work, community service and dedication.In addition to being a prominent and very successful businesman he is currently Justice of the Peace for New Zealand as well as Independent Marriage Celebrant. Lali Ranbir Singh is also Secretary General of Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand. Our community is very proud of his contribution to  New Zealand. During his short visit to Canada Lali was able to visit his friends and relatives in Calgary and Metro Vancouver. It was a pleasure for  us to welcome him.
