Inderjit Singh Reyat 52, becomes eligible for day parole this week

Reyat will be eligible to apply for day parole on Saturday, 14 months after admitting he provided components for a bomb that blew up an Air-India flight from Toronto to Delhi

If Inderjit Singh Reyat applies for parole, then board will hold a hearing to consider whether he will be allowed out of prison. It will take six months for review his application.

Mr. Reyat is the only person to be convicted in the Air India case. Two men who were also charged in the case Ripudaman Singh Malik millionaire businessman and mill worker Ajaib Singh Bagri. They pleaded not guilty.
