ENLIGHTENED TEACHER

Lord has not forgotten this living patch of His Kingdom
He sent another Enlightened Teacher, the Dalai Lama
To illuminate the passageways to personal Nirvana (salvation),
To affirm: the path to peace and happiness
Run through the moral arcade of compassion, non-violence, human dignity;
Prayer, meditation, discipline, service as sacred pillars
Span the temporal and the spiritual.

With a joyful sparkle, innocent laughter, and deep understanding
He guides the flight of our spirit to the sacred realms
Beyond the earthly darkness and sorrow of the moment
Towards a new dawn of unfolding promise and shared destiny;
His message finds kindred echo in many faiths and cultures
His noble spirit and moral courage invite deep admiration
At the “Crossroads of Conscience” in the global village.
