Since becoming one of the youngest performers at the Asian Music Awards in 1988, and one of the most talented percussionists in the bhangra industry, it is only now that Sunil Kalyan's debut solo album, a slick collection of desi and hip-hop fusion, drops this summer.

Da Product features eight hard-hitting tracks with hypnotic tabla and traditional bhangra interspersed with break-beat symphonies of drum 'n' bass and hip-hop flavas and rifts. Cheshire Cat and Lember Hussainpuri lay down their sensational vocal talents on a number of tracks including the bombastic "Dil Kich Ke Lagya" and "Shake Dat Ting".

As a producer Sunil has stamped his mark on the industry locally and internationally. He has worked with leading artists such as Punjabi Hit Squad, Bally Sagoo and on the worldwide smash hit "Mundian To Bach Ke" by Punjabi MC, which hit no. 1 in the US charts and was a Christmas no. 1 across Europe.

As producers such as Timbaland, Moby and Dr Dre continue to sample Hindi and Punjabi tracks South Asian music is firmly placing itself at the forefront of the music industry allowing Sunil's to reach worldwide.
