Lips is a romantic thriller capturing the enigma of
a woman, the greed of a millionaire and the solitude of an immigrant.
Lucky, the protagonist, falls astray when the American police are out
to catch him and his only contact in the US is arrested. It is then
that he finds himself caught in the bliss of love out in the suburbs
of Pennsylvania, US.
Lips presented by Raaj Grover, is a S. Khimani production.
S. Khimani is a successful showman based in New York City. He has done
many popular shows in the US along with television production. It is
directed by Sameer Malkan. He is expanding his border as Lips is his
debut film in America. He has directed many films in Hindi and now plans
to continue directing fresh innovative stories. The cinematographer,
Chung Pal, is a well established professional in the US.
Lucky is played by the well-established Indian television
actor Anuj Saxena who is best known as Abhay from the popular soap opera,
Kkusum. This is his debut film. Preeti is played by Maushmi Udeshi a
well-established model in Mumbai. Some of her work includes videos like
Neele neele ambar pe and Noorie V as well as numerous ads. There are
other characters like Victor, played by the well-established NRI actor-filmmaker
Tirlok Malik. He has been featured in productions such as Lonely in
America and Little Magician 3-D. Eric Lindh, playing Mark, the cop,
is an upcoming actor in the US.
The main shooting was completed all around the east
coast of the US. The locations include the beautiful mountains of the
Poconoes, Pennsylvania as well as estates in Upstate New York and Long
Island.
