SEHAJDHARI SIKH FEDERATION GIVES CLEAN
CHIT TO CONGRESS
SAYS CBI NOT UNDER CONTROL OF CONGRESS
April 08, 2009
RAIKOT,District LUDHIANA,
Condemning the attack on the Home Minister P.Chidambram by a Sikh
Journalist the Sehajdhari Sikh Federation leadership has stated
that though it was the sentimental emotional feelings of the Journalist
but these type of cheap activities for cheap popularity drive
a wedge in the hearts of other communities and is not in the National
interest. There are may peaceful ways to protest and this type
of ugly demonstration by a responsible media person who is a part
of the fourth precious pillar of democracy needs to be condemned
from all sectors.
The Sehajdhari Sikh Federation a registered Political Party by
the Election Commission of India gave clean chit to congress party
stating the CBI is not under the control of the Congress Party
as the truth has emerged out from the fact that the report though
favourable for Tytler and others was virtually adverse for the
Congress especially in these election days and if it was the congress
managing the affairs of CBI then it would have definitely delayed
the report till elections. This has rather raised suspicions that
the BJP or NDA might have been working behind the curtain to rake
up the issue at the neck of the hour during the elections as they
had no other better cause to divide the vote banks through communal
politics.
Terming the CBI report as unfortunate of the Sikhs the SSF National
President Dr.P.S.Ranu stated that the Sikh community should keep
faith in the judiciary and wait for the results and should restrain
to react on the provocations by these Akalis who have no agenda
except Blue Star bitter memories and 1984 riots. It is a matter
of record that in the recent past in the Nothari kand the CBI
acquitted the main accused Moninder Pandher but the Court convicted
him. The Sehajdhari Sikh Federation appealed the Sikh community
to raise a question before the Akali-BJP combine that in the past
25 years the NDA has ruled the country and what efforts were done
by them to expedite the issue during their regime. How many families
have been granted relief by the State Governments and the SGPC
to the victims of the 84 riots. It is only during the elections
that the Akalis start pouring oil on the wounds of the victims.
Congress has always uplifted the Sikhs to the senior most administrative
portfolios of the Country and now again Dr.Manmohan Singh a Punjabi
Sikh has been selected as Prime Ministerial candidate by the congress
and the people of Punjab should come out above all of these petty
political games of the vested forces and boldly strengthen him
by all means urged the federation. The Sehajdhari Sikh Federation
said that the Akali Leadership has failed at all fronts to fight
for the cause of the 1984 riot victims and now the federation
would come out at the back of the victims and will fight for the
cause till supreme court for justice.
