Its just a phenomenal feeling, when Senior Citizens are actually addressed, and reflect an important part in the Indian Culture even in the United States. In the Ancient Indian Tradition, no one ever worried about how things would be when people actually got to that contour of their lives, it was just taken for granted that the kids would handle that.

The numerous activities that the IASH has engendered for the senior citizens, from Travel Tours, to Movies, to Picnics, Entertainment, and more is all beyond my imagination and expectation. This is one area especially in the US, that all of us fear. It is so encouraging to know that such issues are actually been addressed.

On Saturday, November 3, 2012, The IASH arranged a Diwali Event at the Jain Temple in Buena Park, California. The Artists were Aminder Singh a well known singer who has performed all over the world, and Mosmi Shah with her outstanding melodious voice definitely kept the crowd entertained. Then the musical band led by Anish Chandani, with his mastery over the key board and his comedy attracted attention. He has also performed at the Sa Re Ga Ma show on Z-TV. He definitely brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the Event. There were approximately 700 people that attended the Show, with majority of the audience being senior citizens. It was amazing to see the complete hall full of people until the last moment when the show finally had to end around 12:30 pm.

Last but not least, we have to talk about the Master of the Ceremony, Mr. Jaspal Singh, who definitely brought a lot of laughter and did an outstanding job as an MC.
