NRI Karan Bilimoria, Hyderabad-born
and founder and CEO of Cobra in UK, has been honored
with the 'Man of the Year' award at the 2006 UK Drinks
Business Awards because of his continuing
high level of innovation and creativity in recent
product launches of Cobra including Cobra Lower Cal
and King Cobra.
This was 3rd Annual Drinks Business
Awards on dated May 17, 2006 and hosted by leading
premium drinks trade magazine 'The Drinks Business"
rewards high- performing companies and individuals
within the UK drinks industry. Bilimoria
have won this award two years in a row.
The magazine is published independently
from its base in central London. The publisher and
editorial director Charlotte Hey, has over 12 years
in the UK drinks industry, initially based in sales,
PR and marketing. Before launching "The Drinks
Business" she worked for the Spanish Embassy
promoting Spanish wines in the UK and, later, as publishing
director of Harpers Wine & Spirit Weekly and executive
director of the International Wine & Spirit Competition
