SHIVINDER SINGH TO BE SWORN IN AS TRAFFIC COMMISSIONER
FOR THE CITY OF BREA,CALIFORNIA

As a resident and a business owner in Brea, CA, Mr. Shivinder Singh, along with his wife, Dr. Ginny Kaur, and two young kids Sahej Kaur and Amrit Singh, have enjoyed the culture of interactive government promoted by the city since many years.. He believes that Brea's community outreach programs and organizational excellence are really impressive, and instill in its citizens the sense of civic ownership. It's his desire now to contribute to the best of his capabilities, and his professional qualifications make it possible for him to better serve the residents of Brea and protect its quality of life.
Mr. Singh brings a proactive approach, a record of public interaction, community service experience, and a strong motivation to serve the local community—in addition to many years of experience in the transportation and real estate industry.
Mr. Singh holds a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He currently serves as Office Chief in the Division of Electrical Engineering-Construction, and is also the CEO of DreamWorks Real Estate, and CFO of Eagle USA Mortgage.
Mr. Singh's goal is to enhance the operation of the Brea City streets and to facilitate and optimize the movement of people, goods, and services in a safe and efficient manner. On the public service front, he aims on promoting high quality safety services, conservative fiscal policies, support Brea’s youth and families, and promote regional transportation improvements and developments that will benefit future generations of its residents.

Traffic Commissioner
- The Traffic Commission's responsibilities include: enforcement and regulation of the rules, regulations and ordinances which pertain to vehicular street traffic and parking and adoption, and amendment and repeal of said regulations as needed.
- The Traffic Commission is also responsible for all line painting in the city, traffic signs, repair of the traffic control signals, maintenance and placement of school zone lights, placement of barriers, and payment of police details used during the course of street painting.
- The Traffic Commission may restrict parking on certain streets within the City when public safety and convenience warrant it, and may issue resident parking permits for restricted parking when needed. The Traffic Commission is also responsible for the advertising and printing of all parking regulations and resident parking permits.
