Vinay Mohan Kwatra Appointed as India's New Ambassador to the U.S.

Kwatra, a distinguished officer of the 1988 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), is expected to take up his new assignment shortly, according to a statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs. Kwatra's extensive experience in diplomacy includes serving as India's Foreign Secretary, a role he stepped down from on July 14. He succeeded Harsh Vardhan Shringla in this high-profile position. In addition to his recent role, Kwatra has also served as India’s Ambassador to France and Nepal.
