NRI Lord Swaraj Paul entrepreneur bought a 6 million
pound estate in Britain, the Georgian mansion and 250-acre farm
just minutes from Chequers, the Prime Minister's own rural retreat.
Recently, Paul donated 25,000 pounds to Brown's
personal leadership campaign and he will be first NRI to join
the ranks of the landed gentry. It will give him easy access to
Gordon Brown, who uses Chequers, the Prime Minister's official
country residence, for weekends with his family. He also promised
to bankroll Labour's Election campaign and has pledged to "give
whatever he can afford" to help ensure Labour is re-elected.

The mansion was previously owned by George Apter,
Conservative supporter. Before George Apter, the owner was former
Chelsea Football Club boss Ken Bates, who set up an ice cream
factory on the estate. The mansion has been used as a location
for the crime drama Midsomer Murders.
According to real estate company this property was
on sale for £6.5million since two years. Paul bought this
mansion for 6.15 after a long negotiation. This mansion include

Lord Paul told news media that it is quite a small place. He
can relax with his four children and seven grandchildren. He can
walk almost one mile from front door to the gates of the estate
