Dr. Dhalla to join Canadian Minister of Sport at 2010 Commonwealth Games in India

Dr. Ruby Dhalla, Member of Parliament Brampton Springdale in Canada will be joining Canada's Minister of Sport to attend the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India.
Dr. Dhalla made history as one of the first Sikh women to be elected to Canadian Parliament in 2004 and is also one of the first women of Indian origin to be elected to a federal parliament in the western world. As one of the youngest women currently in Canadian Parliament, Dr. Dhalla has been a strong advocate for issues impacting women, youth, and new immigrants.
As a dynamic and passionate speaker Dr. Dhalla has previously visited India and spoken at the Annual Pravasi Bhartiya Divas Conference and various business, youth and cultural forums.
Dr. Dhalla has been a strong champion of enhancing cultural, economic and trade relations between both Canada and India.
