Khan took
23,879 votes, Tory Raminder Gill came in second
with 18,121 ballots, Jim Caron (NDP) managed
6,974 votes, and Otto Casanova (Green Party)
and Peter Gibson Creighton (Progressive Canadian
Party) trailed with 2,307 and 774 votes respectively.

Raminder Gill is the Conservative Party of Canada
(CPC) candidate in the Ontario riding of Mississauga
Streetsville. Raminder is a graduate of the
University of Toronto with two degrees, a Masters
of Engineering and a bachelor of Chemical engineering.
A resident of Peel for over 30 years, Raminders
involvement in the community extends to having
served as a Member of the Ontario Provincial
Legislature for the constituency of Bramalea-Gore-Malton-Springdale,
from 1999-2003.
He is a small business owner and has invented
and developed a range of environmentally-friendly
products, including Presidents Choice
The Alternative Bleach.
His community involvement has included being
a founder of the Malton Cougars Soccer Club.
He is also a charter member of the Mississauga
Lions Club of Erin Mills, and a fundraiser for
a variety of worthy causes including the Credit
Valley Hospital, the United way, the Hospital
for Sick Children, and the Toronto Eye Foundation.
His wife is Dr. Pam Gill, a family physician
associated with the Credit Valley Hospital.
Raminder is married to Pam, and is the proud
father of two daughters.

While at Queens Park, Raminder fulfilled
duties as the Parliamentary Assistant to the
Minister of Labour, the Minister of Training
Colleges and Universities and finally to the
Premier.
Earning both a Masters of Engineering and
a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from the
University of Toronto, Raminder has over 15
years experience as a chemical engineer with
several local firms before starting his own
business. He is a small business owner and
invented and developed of a range of environmentally-friendly

Raminder has been a resident of Peel for
