NRI Canadian federal innovation and science Minister Navdeep Bains Resigned from Trudeau Govt.

Navdeep Bains, Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science, and Industry, announced he is stepping down from his post and will not run in the next federal election.
Navdeep said:
- My family is the most important thing in my life [and] they have sacrificed so much
- This last year has been hard on families and my daughters, who are in Grade 5 and Grade 8, have needed me more in the last year, and I’ve needed them too.
In his announcement, Bains cited wanting to spend more time with his family as the primary reason for his decision.
He will continue as MP for the riding of Mississauga-Malton until then.
According to our sources……who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the moves.
Bains announced that he would retire from politics after the next federal election, and resigned from the Cabinet effective January 12, 2021.
