MLA: Jagrup Brar
Surrey-Panorama Ridge
Jagrup Brar moved to British Columbia from Winnipeg
more than ten years ago. With his wife, Rajwant and
their daughter, Noor, Jagrup and his family have put
down strong roots in Surrey, living in the constituency
of Surrey-Panorama Ridge since moving to British Columbia.
Jagrup has a Masters degree in Philosophy from
Punjabi University in India, and a Masters in
Public Administration from the University of Manitoba.
Jagrup was elected as the MLA for Surrey-Panorama
Ridge in October 2004 in a by-election. This is Jagrups
first term as a sitting member of the BC Legislature,
but he brings with him extensive business and community-building
experience and expertise.
As the former Executive Director of the Surrey Self
Employment and Entrepreneur Development Society (SEEDS),
Jagrup Brar trained new entrepreneurs to develop and
launch successful small business ventures. For over
a decade, Jagrup has worked with professionals and
with employers to develop winning strategies for small
business successes.
Jagrup is also active in both the Surrey Chamber
of Commerce and the Indo-Canadian Business Association.
