NRI Lawyer Dedar Singh Gill appointed judicial commissioner of Singapore’s Supreme Court

Singapore President Halimah Yacob has appointed top lawyer Dedar Singh Gill. 59, as a judicial commissioner of the Supreme Court f or a period of two years, starting on Aug 1, 2018. He will be sworn into his post at the Istana on Aug 3.
In 1983, he was graduated from National University of Singapore. He was managing director of law firm Drew and Napier LLC's intellectual property department. He was admitted to the Singapore Bar (1984)

- Dedar Singh Gill was the president of Asian Patent Attorneys Association, Singapore Group
- He was also appointed deputy president of the Copyright Tribunal.
- He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore, the Singapore Academy of Law and the International Trademark Association.
