  • Vinod "Vin" Gupta is Chairman and CEO of infoUSA, Inc., (formerly American Business Information, Inc.) headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
  • Mr. Gupta came to the United States in 1967 after receiving his bachelor's degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. He earned a master's degree in engineering and an MBA at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.   • In 1971, Gupta was working as marketing research analyst with Commodore Corporation, a manufacturer of mobile homes in Omaha, Nebraska. He had to comply a list of all the mobile home dealers in the US and ordered all available telephone directories. From his own garage and set about compiling the list in his spare time, company allowed him to sell it to others and got way to success
