Mr. Peter Dhillon is a man of kindness whose personality is connected
to all walks of the community. Mr. Peter Dhillon is CEO of the Richberry
Group of Companies and one of the world’s largest suppliers
of cranberries.
- He joined the Board of Trustees of Canwel Buildings Material
Income Fund, a national distributor in Canadian building materials
with revenues exceeding one billion dollars.
- He was also appointed to the board of the Canadian Olympic
Committee, as well as Vancouver General Hospital and University
of BC Hospital Foundation.
- He is one of the largest shareholders of Ocean Spray Cranberries
Inc., for which Dhillon serves as a director and was formerly
vice chairman.
- He serves on many local and national boards, including the Board
of Directors of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., Vancouver International
Airport Authority, and Seacor Environmental Inc., an environmental
company with companies across Canada.
- He is vice chairman of the Agriculture Land Commission, which
oversees all agriculture lands in British Columbia, and also chairs
VANOC’s Audit Committee.
- He served as vice chairman for British Columbia Ferry Corporation
and a board director for Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.
- He also acted as Honourary Chairman of the Canadian Olympic
Committee 2003 Annual Conference and Olympic Hall of Fame Dinner,
and was a director of the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation.
He was born and raised in Vancouver. He graduated with a bachelor
of arts degree in history from the University of British Columbia.
He received a bachelor of laws with honours from the University
of Leeds.
