BADAL FELICITATES BARACK OBAMA ON BECOMING US PRESIDENT

Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today congratulated Senator Barack Obama on becoming the 44th President of United States of America, saying his spectacular victory would inspire the Indian community, especially the Punjabis who railed strongly behind him and hoped it would foster better and closer ties with India.

Addressing the media persons during a weekly interaction, Mr. Badal hoped that a new chapter of US Indian relationship would be scripted with Obama's election as President of the USA and the rights of the immigrants belonging to different faiths, religions and races would be protected in the hands of the great visionary Barack Obama.
