First Eye Camp in 2006
had made great success
Last year on Nov. 11, United Sikh Mission launched
free eye camp at Bias Pind in Jalandhar. More than 700 old and
young people got the treatment from this camp. Patients from surrounding
villages, many elderly with family members helping them, came
early to seek ophthalmologic help
Rashpal was very thankful for friends, relatives and local village
organizers who helped us and encourage us in future projects.
United Sikh Mission organization that empowers communities worldwide
to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. In
Punjab, local and visiting volunteers work with partner eye clinics
to provide eye care in communities without previous access, with
the goal of creating eye disease-free communities.
