Lord Paul donates Rs 20 lakh for quake victims

NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul on Sunday announced
a donation of Rs 10 lakh each for relief efforts in
quake-affected Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied
Kashmir.
In a letter to Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee,
Lord Paul said he was saddened by the "loss of
life caused by the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir,
especially those of the armed forces and border security
forces."
He forwarded a cheque for Rs 10 lakh for the The
Prime Ministers Relief Fund.
Lord Paul, who is also the British Ambassador for
Overseas Business, also sent a cheque for Rs 10 lakh
to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf for relief
work in quake-ravaged PoK.
Lord Paul, Chairman of the London 2012 Olympics Implementation
Committee, was in India leading a high-level British
Parliamentary delegation when the earthquake jolted
the region claiming over 50,000 lives, mostly in Pakistan.
