I congratulate all my brothers settled abroad for always remembering their beloved nation, instilling those thoughts amongst the new generation and informed others about Gujarat and the country

Gujarat is becoming the automobile hub of Asia. Today, I want to proudly say that there is no single vehicle in the country of which the parts are not manufactured in the state and exported and used to make vehicles.

Let me clear here, China and Gujarat are the success of the manufacturing sector and Gujarat is leading in the manufacturing sector in the whole India.

Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) will also increase its supply to Mumbai from 3 lakh litres per day (LLPD) to five LLPD by 2015. The Dairy, which operates in the tribal belt of the State, has over 50 per cent women representation - the highest in Gujarat.  The production of milk has been increased by 68 percent in the state within a period of 10 years. Can you imagine? I was proudly able to say that the government of Delhi will not get tea unless Gujarat provides milk to it and my workers have done it.

From Chicago, Suresh Bodiwala wrote: Indian Gujarati Samuday of North America Celebrated Gujarat Day at the Jain Temple, 435 N. Route 59, Bartlet, IL 60103 and more than 1500 Gujaratis, and Non Gujaratis attended the event.

Narendra Modi on Time magazine cover: On March 26 issue, Time Magazine praised him in an article for the development of the State, which he has been ruling for over a decade, wonders if he can become the Prime Minister. The article also features Modi with the caption: ‘Modi means Business, but can he lead India?’ The Time magazine article says, “Modi is a Firm, No-Nonsense leader" who can steer India out of a "mire of chronic corruption and inefficiency".

In 2005, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was first denied a visa when he had planned to travel to Florida to address the Asian American Hotel Owners convention.  He was refused visa under US law, "any foreign government official responsible for serious violation of religious freedom is ineligible for a visa."  So visa was linked to the 2002 Godhra sectarian riots that took place under his watch.

Modi has previously addressed the World Gujarati Conference in Edison, N.J., in 2008 and a similar conference in Bartlett, Illinois.  In 2012, it is his third consecutive time that Modi addressed NRIs to attract NRI investments.
