Arvind Kejriwal set to step down as Delhi's Chief Minister, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will finalize the next CM at a legislative meeting on Tuesday. The meeting is scheduled for 11 AM at Kejriwal's residence.
Kejriwal plans to submit his resignation to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at 4:30 PM, while the newly selected legislative leader will step into the Chief Minister role.
On Monday, Kejriwal held private consultations with Political Affairs Committee leaders regarding his successor. AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj confirmed the PAC meeting occurred at Kejriwal's official residence to discuss the leadership change.
Kejriwal announced on Sunday that he would resign and not return as CM until declared "honest" by Delhi's people. He also called for advancing Delhi's elections to November, ahead of the scheduled February polls.
