The gruesome siege drama in Mumbai has claimed lives of at least
13 foreign nationals and left 22 of them injured, according to Union
Home Ministry, eight foreign nationals were dead and 22 injured
in the Mumbai terror attacks.
These figures do not include the death of five Israelis in Nariman
House, whose killing was confirmed later by NSG Chief JK Dutt.
The deceased included three German nationals and one each from
Japan, Canada and Australia, Special Secretary (Internal Security)
M L Kumawat said at a press briefing in New Delhi on the Mumbai
attacks on Friday.
Kumawat said among those injured, five are from UK, three from
Germany, two each from the US and Oman, and one each from Norway,
Spain, Canada, Finland, Philipines, Austria, Italy and China.
The nationality of two others was not known.
A 51-year-old German national Burgeroch was brought dead from the
Taj Hotel to the Breach Candy hospital, where two other German nationals
-- Bernardelite (45) and Benjamin Matthiys (26) -- are undergoing
treatment.
At the Jaslok Hospital, three British nationals -- Michael Murphy
(58), Dianne Murphy (53) and Harsh Patel (29) -- have been admitted.
Two visitors from Oman -- Al Zadjali Miran Sahil (19) and Al Raisi
Muneera Mohd (35) have been admitted at the Saifee Hospital.
A 62-year-old Italian Juarini was admitted to the JJ Hospital,
where a bullet-riddled body of a male foreigner is still unidentified.
At the KEM Hospital, Australian B Gilbert Tailor (49), German Jurgan
Hedros Rudalf (68), Canadian Michele Stuart Moos (78), German Sider
Daffne (50) and an unknown foreigner were brought dead.
41-year-old Hisa Si Tsuda of Japan died in the Bombay Hospital,
where 14 foreigners are undergoing treatment.
They are Shih Fung Chen (China), Zahed (Jordan), Tan Eugene (Philippines),
Helen Connolly (nationality unknown), Katherine Instee (Austria),
Michael Rudder (Canada), Oskari Polcho (Finland), Axel Nordmeter
(German), Arne Stromme (Norway), Maria Trossa (Spain), Simon and
William Pike (both UK) and Andolina Vaoagta and Lind Orchistala

Commandos safely rescue 148 hostages from Oberoi Trident
In a major success the Army and NSG commandoes have rescued 148
hostages majority of foreigners from the Oberoi Trident Hotel.
Two terrorists were killed in the opereation. Two AK-47 rifles,
one pistol and few grenades have been recovered. NSG chief J K Dutt
said to reporters a short while ago.
Earlier, 148 hostages, majority of them foreigners were rescued
from Oberoi-Trident hotel. The building is now in the full control
of the security forces.
Twenty four bodies including those of 2 terrorists were recovered
from Oberoi Hotel.
