NRI, a non-resident Indian shopkeeper, Siva Supramaniam
, 33, was stabbed to death in Wembley in UK after intervening
in an argument in his Harrow Road grocery last. The doctors reported
that he had lost too much blood and his heart was too badly damaged.
Mr.Supramaniam tried to save his wife from abusive
customers and told them to leave. After bad conversation, he followed
them into nearby Tring Avenue and he was repeatedly stabbed in
the chest. He staggered back to his shop before collapsing in
the doorway and his last words to his 27-year-old wife were, "Honey,
call the police, I can’t breathe."
Two men and a woman arrested in connection with
the murder have been released. Inspector Andy Manning of the Met’s
Specialist Crime Directorate has launched an appeal for witnesses.
- Mr. Supramaniam was qualified as a lawyer, decided to give
it up and decided to try his luck in the UK in 1999 to start
business.
- His sister said: "It was all coming together for him.
He was getting a new house and they were going to start a family."
