Singh, 65, kills wife and shoots himself

On Saturday morning, NRI Sardool Singh, 65, had
shot his wife Paramjit Kaur, 62, and later had killed himself
at Jaspal Bangar village, near Ludhiana, Punjab. In May, the couple
had come from Canada and were residing in their house along with
their elder daughter and son Kamal.
SP (Superintendent of Police) told meadia:
- Today, it cannot be judged what drove the NRI to take this
extereme step. There is no breakthrough in this case so far,
we are investigating the matter from all the angles.
- Their four children-two boys and two girls, are settled in
Canada,
- Their elder daughter, Pritpal Kaur along with her son Karampreet
Singh has been living at the village. Pritpal is living there
because her husband is in army.
After the post mortem at the Civil Hospital, their
bodies were handed over to their relatives for cremation.
Their daughter, Pritpal Kaur heard the noise of
shots, knocked their door which was locked from inside. When no
body responsed, then along with her son Karanpreet Singh and another
relative Rajinder Singh broke open the door of the room. They
found deceased persons in pool of blood and their heads blown
with the bullets.
The neighbors told our press repoter that NRI Sardool
Singh had a drinking problem and he was upset last night.
