The younger brother of a Halloween night homicide
victim has been charged with his death.
NRI, Tejinder Singh Gill, 29, died after he was found
critically injured at a house in the 9800 block of
116 Street about 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
His 24-year-old brother, Parminder Singh Gill, has
been charged with second-degree murder.
Gill was one of three people to die in Halloween
violence in Surrey.
Harjit Saini, 19, died after he was stabbed during
a fight outside Cougar Creek Elementary School at
12236 70A Avenue about 11 p.m. Monday.
Saini and some friends were setting off fireworks
when they were swarmed by a group of young men.
The RCMP helicopter followed a suspicious vehicle
from the scene into Vancouver where two young South
Asian men were arrested and released after questioning.
So far, no charges have been laid.
