illicit drugs

their lifetime.
More than 30% of NRI youth ages 12 to 18 reported
that marijuana was fairly or very easy to obtain.
More than 8% NRI youth ages 12 to 18 said that they
are approached by someone selling drugs in 2004
Drug treatment rates have risen
dramatically among NRI youths:
Like other American kids , primary marijuana abuse
accounts for more than half of NRIs and other Asian
youth substance abuse treatment admissions.
The number of NRI American kids undergoing drug
treatment in the last three years has increased by
30 percent.
In USA, Marijuana is the primary drug used by 62
percent of all Asian American and Pacific Islander
youth ages 12 to 17 admitted for drug treatment.
Those Parents who closely monitoring their kids
behavior, communicating the risks of marijuana and
other drugs, and educate for losing the respect of
family and friends is less likly to use drugs
