NRI Dr. Ramesh Babu Peramsetty, an NRI physician from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, was tragically shot and killed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Friday. The 63-year-old doctor was a prominent figure in the medical community and known for establishing several hospitals across the United States.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Dr. Peramsetty was well-regarded in Tuscaloosa, where he was a key founder of the Crimson Care network of medical professionals. The Crimson Care team confirmed his death through a Facebook statement, requesting privacy for his grieving family and expressing their condolences.
The statement read, “We have been informed of Dr. Ramesh Peramsetty’s passing. The Peramsetty family asks for privacy as they mourn. They have received an outpouring of support and sympathy.”

Dr. Peramsetty's patients have expressed their sorrow and paid tribute to him online. Danielle Taylor commented, “One of the best doctors that ever treated me,” while Jewell Sandoval described him as “a wonderful doctor” and offered her condolences.
