Bishan Bhandari, chef found dead in Lancashire restaurant

Bishan Singh Bhandari, 33, who worked at the Victoria’s popular
Indian restaurant, at the Dog Inn in Market Place, was found dead
about 11.30am last Thursday, February 5 by the owner's daughter-in-law
and colleague Parwa Singh. They tried to resuscitate him, paramedics
were called, but Mr al lin vain.
He was used to work in five-star as a chef in India and had worked
at the restaurant for two months He moved from , after moving from
Birmingham.
The owner of the restaurant, Tony Walters said:
- It is such a tragic situation for those children to lose their
dad, and with his wife being ill as well they need all the support
we can give them
- We are trying to raise money for his family in India. He has
four children- all under the age of 13
- We all went for lunch together the day before he died
- He had settled in really well and was enjoying it here
- He was a really popular member of the team and also a brilliant
chef
A post mortem examination leading to no conclusion. An inquest
was opened at Blackburn Coroner's Court and adjourned until May
7
