Patnibin Maxwell, 31, from Kollam, Kerala, Lost in Hezbollah Missile Attack on Northern Israel"

The devastating consequences of a Hezbollah missile attack on northern Israel resonate deeply as reports confirm the identity of one of the victims. Patnibin Maxwell, a 31-year-old native of Kollam in Kerala state, southern India, tragically lost his life in the recent attack.

As the details of this heartbreaking incident continue to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the human toll exacted by conflicts in various parts of the world. Maxwell's story resonates not just as a victim of geopolitical unrest but as a cherished individual with dreams and familial ties, now cut short by the indiscriminate violence of war. The international community mourns with the family and friends of Patnibin Maxwell, highlighting the far-reaching impact of conflicts on the lives of innocent civilians.

Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin, both injured in the attack, have been hospitalized for treatment. George was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where he underwent a successful operation and is currently recovering under observation. He has been able to communicate with his family in India. Meanwhile, Melvin, who sustained slight injuries, is receiving medical care at Ziv Hospital in the northern Israeli city of Safed. Melvin hails from the Idukki district of Kerala.

Earlier reports from MDA indicated that one foreign worker was killed, and a total of seven others, including George and Melvin, were injured in the attack. The incident is believed to be the result of a missile strike carried out by the Shiite Hezbollah faction in Lebanon. Hezbollah has been launching daily attacks with rockets, missiles, and drones at northern Israel since October 8, expressing support for Hamas amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

In response to the attack, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) shelled the launch site with artillery. The IDF also targeted a Hezbollah compound in the southern Lebanon town of Chihine, along with another site belonging to Hezbollah in Ayta ash-Shab.

The ongoing skirmishes between Israel and Hezbollah have resulted in the tragic loss of seven civilians and 10 IDF soldiers on the Israeli side. Hezbollah claims to have lost 229 members during recent flare-ups, primarily in Lebanon but also some in Syria. Additionally, 37 operatives from other groups, a Lebanese soldier, and at least 30 civilians have lost their lives since October 8, further emphasizing the human toll of this protracted conflict.
