NRI Sikh Scholar Dr Raghbir Singh Bains Honored by Punjab Chief Minister

-A scintillating Sikh scholar, an eminent museologist, world famous encyclopaedist, renowned drug therapist and a reputed lifetime community activist Dr Raghbir Singh Bains was adorned with the ‘Award of Honour’ at the 65th World Sikh Educational Conference held under aegis of the Chief Khalsa Diwan which was established in the year 1902 with a definite objective and mission to promote the spiritual, intellectual, moral, educational and economic welfare of the Sikhs as well as to safe-guard their socio-political rights in all fields of life.            

The award was bestowed upon Dr Raghbir Singh Bains by the Honourable Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Parkash Singh Badal in presence of thousands of prominent guests and educationists hailing from different parts of the world in recognition of his major contributions made to the global society. The Award proved yet another decoration benchmark in the service of humanity by Dr Bains.

Amazingly it was the first occasion in 112 years when Sikh scholars with Indian background from various countries of the world were invited to partake in the educational conference organized by the Chief Khalsa Diwan head quartered at Amritsar in Punjab, India.

During the course of deliberations in the seminar on ‘World Sikh Educational Institutions in Foreign Countries and Their Contributions’, Dr Bains laid stress that Chief Khalsa Diwan and other likeminded institutions must study and test the methodology and modules of foreign Sikh Educational Institutions that have motivated Sikh youth to excel in professionalism to live a positive Sikh way of life to do true service to the entire human race and to spread the message of universal brotherhood, peace and global prosperity.  

 It is reiterated here that Dr Bains is a committed role model and an extraordinary lifetime crusader against the menace of drugs, domestic violence, divorces, female foeticide, flesh trading, murders, evils of gangs, HIV-AIDS and other social evils.  He moves around the world to educate youth so that universe is made a better place for humans to live.  

Dr Bains has profound experience of working on various government and non government advisory committees in India and Canada. He is a known fund raiser for many charities. He is an established environmentalist and celebrated writer of various classic books.

Dedication of Mr Bains towards wellbeing of the entire human race provided him a niche in the list of the top powerful and influential ‘100 Sikhs’ in the world during the years 2013 and 2014 list.

Dr Bains is one of the most prominently successful personalities in the world. He has been honoured with hundreds of local, national and international awards, titles, accolades and orders including Good Citizen of Surrey Canada, Order of British Columbia Canada, Queen Elizabeth 11’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals, Title of ‘Panth Rattan’, Sikh Scholar of Computer Age Title bestowed by Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and SGPC Amritsar, the Order of Khalsa by the Government of Punjab and Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award by the Governor General of Canada.  He is valuable asset, great role model and a noble mentor for the global society.
