Two NRIs died and one in critical condition in crash on New York
highway

Two NRIs, Jagjit Pandhar, 48, of Willingboro, and
Ravider Bajwa, 43, of Springfield, Pa were killed in the accident
near Marathon, 60 miles south of Syracuse. Jagjit Pandhar died at
Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Binghamton and Bajwa
was pronounced dead at the scene. Both victims were passengers.
NRI Rajbhinder Bedesha, 50, of Burlington Township,
was driving a Toyota Sienna southbound on I-81 just before 9 p.m.
Sunday when he lost control of the minivan. Sgt. Terry Sullivan
said, it appeared the driver's-side rear tire came apart.
Rajbhinder Bedesha and his front-seat passenger, Sukhvir
Bedesha, 17, also of Burlington Township, were taken to Wilson Memorial.
The Rajbhinder Bedesha was listed in serious condition and Sukhvir
Bedesha was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Jagwinder Singh Lail 45, also of Burlington Township,
was listed in serious condition and Baghwant Singh, 51, of Burlington
Township was listed in fair condition.
The whole group was returning to New Jersey after
attending two sporting events in Toronto and all were members of
the Gurdwara Khalsa Dabar, Sikh temple on Old York Road in Springfield
